The maritime transport industry is an important part of global trade and the main mode of cross-border e-commerce logistics. In order to cope with market competition and operating costs, the world's major shipping companies have formed three major international maritime alliances: the 2M Alliance, the OA Alliance and the THE Alliance. Among them, Ocean Alliance is a powerful alliance of four shipping lines, namely France's Duffy Line (CMA CGM), COSCO Shipping (COSCO), Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) and Orient Overseas Corporation (OOCL).The OA Alliance has a market share of more than 30 per cent in container routes from Asia to North America.
